Recovering From Devastation

Someone recently asked, "How does one recover when a natural disaster turns our world upside down?" In responding, I realized that this question is synonymous with the devastation of any stressful life event we may face.

Devastation, loss, and tragedy always seem hopeless until the water goes down, and we decide to start, step by step, digging our way out. Depending on our individual interpretations of the event, that tiny spark inside us can take over and ignite a fire in our hearts—a burning desire to Live and to Recover.

That flame in our hearts intensifies when we help someone still trying to dig out.

I pray that something positive can be born from the negative and that we can form a new unity after this horrible disaster Hurricane Helene has caused.

We now have the opportunity to reclaim our strength and resilience. It is time to persevere and unite, to be connected, and to STAY connected. The COVID-19 pandemic took away our feeling of connection and necessitated a state of distance and separation. I pray that through this heartbreaking disaster, we regain our Connection on this planet, our Unity, and our Oneness.

Light overcomes darkness, and positivity wipes away the negativity.
With God's help, we can recover from any devastation.
