Find Your Connection
Aug 05, 2020
"Find your grounding. Find your peace. Walk in your Peace." What an interesting year we have experienced thus far in 2020. It is essential to look at the "growth opportunities" our planet is experiencing on our journey to a universal new normal. I speak so often of "our" personal journey for our own new normal that the term "new normal" sounds unfamiliar or out of place when describing our world's quest for what will be a new normal. "Find your grounding. Find your peace. Walk in your peace."The words echo in my head.
As I leave my car today, my thoughts are peaceful in this crazy time. Yes, peaceful. Tranquil as the trail welcomes me. I am peaceful as I am bathed in the energy of nature, energized by the vibrant colors of the newly emerging wildflowers. "Find your grounding," the place that brings harmony, calm, serenity, and comfort through that groundedness. I walk along the mountain trail. I stop to capture the image of a patch of Lady Slippers facing the morning sun. I hear a euphony of sounds, a mountain stream rolling beside me, birds singing in the trees, squirrels and "boomers" scampering across the forest floor. I sit on a rock beside the trail and absorb the sounds and my thoughts. Yes, I have found my peace. All I have to do is accept it and become one with the peace. But I also feel sad because you aren't with me due to the significant changes in our world today. There were 3 of us friends. We separated. Stefanie and Artha went in one direction, maintaining "social distance," while I chose the "low road" to photograph wildflowers. We all had our masks and drove to the trail in separate cars. We all carry our hand sanitizer in our packs.
What is it? What is missing? Why is there a feeling of sadness in this magical world? Then, the awareness!! Connection! The connection is the missing link. Connection to your "bubble". Connection to the hugs and laughter, the love and support. Connection to being able to talk and share your feelings. Being connected to your safe "bubble" of friends is "essential" in guarding your emotional health, mental health, and social health!
I saunter on down the trail with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. Now, I am genuinely 'walking in my Peace.'
Please stay connected with your bubble. Be safe, but find the hug, find the laughter, find the support, find your bubble. Walk in your peace.
