A Note From Our Founder

As seems to happen at least once a month, I got a quiet, little "WHISPER" from Marie. Just one word: "BLOG"! So, here I sit again, trying to clear my head of everything spinning around today. What a crazy but massively important time we are living in! We have an opportunity, "a RESPONSIBILITY," to enable and empower our planet through this transformational crisis into a new normal for our world. Just like we, as Cancer survivors, seek a new normal, Mother Earth is now seeking her new normal. And we will get through this.
In my hiking and backpacking lectures and seminars, I often speak of my Gear List. I go through all the items that I feel are important or necessary for a backpacking trip or a hike. The "just in case" stuff! But this list of things can be narrowed down to ONE SPECIFIC item. You might guess that I may be talking about food or water. Maybe I'm suggesting a knife or matches. Certainly, shelter from the weather is essential. But, more than any other, the ONE THING that will help you survive any challenge is (wait for it! Drum roll!!) YOUR ATTITUDE! YOU MUST BELIEVE! You MUST believe that you will meet the challenge and WIN!
I am speaking to a WHOLE organization of SURVIVORS! Yes, every one of you!! You have proven you have what it takes to get through challenges! Now, as Cancer survivors, no matter where you are on your journey, bring our hearts together as One and support families, our friends, our communities, and our world! We will get through this!!
Be safe, practice physical separation, and if that means staying home, stay home! Make wise decisions, and, yes, laugh!!!
